Stafford County Schools two openings

Stafford County Public Schools is currently seeking two psychologists to join a team of 17 school psychologists, 31 educational diagnosticians and three school psychology interns in a suburban community in northern Virginia for SY2018-19.  Each psychologist is assigned to two schools as a core member of the Student Education Committee alongside an education diagnostician and SPED designee.  Psychologists engage in problem-solving teams/RTI, the Special Education and 504 eligibility processes (including cognitive, social-emotional, autism and functional behavioral assessments), counseling, and consultation.  Professional development with the psychologist-diagnostician group takes place monthly, along with a semi-annual symposium for all school SISP/Mental Health staff, and school-based training opportunities.  In addition, district-paid attendance at regional and national conferences is available.  School psychologists work a 10-month schedule of 7.5 hour days.
