    Dare County (NC) has 2 openings for certified school psychologists or school psychology interns for the 2018-19 school year (and the positions are ACTUALLY open right now). They will also have at least 1 position for the 2019-2020 school year. 

    Dare County extends from about 50 miles south of Chesapeake to the southern tip of Hatteras (NC), and includes Roanoke Island. A very vibrant superintendent is attracting wonderful professionals to work here as he completes his first year in Dare County.  The state of North Carolina is promoting MTSS very strenuously, under the rubric of school improvement, and Dare County is working seriously to learn and implement this wonderful innovation of our profession.

    Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), a large, diverse, progressive school system located in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC, is seeking to hire a school psychologist for the 2017-2018 school year.  Although we welcome all qualified individuals to apply, including students who are ABD, we are especially interested in working with those from diverse backgrounds; those who have a strong interest in serving diverse children, families, schools, and communities; and/or graduates of training programs that emphasized the development of multicultural competencies.  Additionally, individuals who possess a strong background in providing mental health supports to students through an MTSS model are encouraged to apply.
